EDIT: It turns out Linux must have been reporting turbo mode wrong before. The latest svn version of i7z shows the correct turbo mode with all cpus active (3500 MHz).

I just rebuilt my system with the replacement P8P67 board, and now turbo mode no longer works.

Prior to the replacement my CPU would run at 3.7 GHz under load, temps were around 50C with my heatsink.

Now the frequency tops out at 3.4 GHz.

Details:

Board: P8P67 (not pro)
CPU: i7-2600 (not K)
BIOS: 1305

I have speedstep and turbo mode enabled in the bios. Just about everything else is set to auto. In version 1003, this was enough to enable turbo. I can't downgrade because the updater won't let me.

Any ideas?

enable C1E.

C1E was set to auto. I enabled it and it's still pinned at 3.4 under load. Do I need to enable the C3 and C6 too?

I even tried manually setting the target ratios in EFI. It still doesn't report anything higher than 3401000 to the OS.

Are you sure ?

The BIOS they are shipping now , 1305, was issued before the recall ..
