Just built my second pc ever and it won't display anything or beep.
All the fans and the optical drive turn on.
Tested the monitor and it works. Also tried a different monitor.
Re-seated the CPU (about 3 times) , all PSU connectors, Memory and GPU. Re-arranged the memory into many configurations. Cleared CMOS many times. Unplugged everything (including the sata cables, GPU, on-board wires for front panel, mouse and keyboard) and replugged only the 24 pin PSU connector, fans, and monitor to the MB's DVI output.
I'm thinking that it's the memory but I have no way of testing it. I've read in this thread http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2189554 and others that many people have used this type of memory. The manual says to use slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 4.
I've read that maybe the pins where the processor goes might be bent or making some unwanted contact but they look good to me.
Months of planning and now I'm stuck.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
