Looks like excellent board. Any ideas when this will be released? Other manufacturers coming up with P4X400 chipset? Really cool PCB coloring and other components as well, has all the cool features (no RAID, don't need one anyways), FSB 533/400, DDR 333/266, ATA 133/100/66, 6-channel audio, USB 2.0, on-board LAN .. Yummy!

Can't wait to see how good the VIA memory controller actually is and how well it overclocks.

Hope I didn't rush with my upgrade, just got EPoX 4BDA2+ with 1.6a, still need my Samsung DDR to test this beast out.

BTW; Is it good idea to remove nortbridge fan/heatsink and add some Arctic Silver III to keep it cool, or is the stock thermal compound good enought?

I am anxiously awaiting Anand to review the P4X400, but I seriously believe that P4X400 has the potential to totally dethrone the 850e for the performance crown for the P4. We'll see, but I think that the potential is there and I will be keeping a very close eye on this board.

I pulled the hsf off my Ti4400, removed the thermal grease, and applied AS3. Max overclock on my GPU dropped 10MHz. Pulled the hsf off and tried again. Same results. You might want to pull it off and check the application, but my experience with applying AS3 was negative.

VIA reference board has shown it's strenght. If this board & chipset can handle bit higher FSB and run DDR400 .. Hmm .. Looks like faster than 1066 RDRAM setup :)

.. It's still VIA! Eek! ;)
