The it sounds like you might need to look at a VIA solution, as the KT600 has the VT8237 southbridge for raid on the fly, and no dual channel.

Well,

I have to say I think it is very unfortunate that this board is getting so little attention.

I decided to go ahead and try this board out with a barton 2500+

With a 512 stick of crucial pc2700 I can oc the barton to 3200+ with NO voltage adjustment, and STOCK cooling on this board.

The amount of options this board offers for such a low price is extremley impressive.

I don't need soundstorm, as I have an Audigy 2. And this single channel solution is just as fast as dual, so is a better solution than the KT600. With this board out there is no reason to consider a KT600 imho

Anyway, I just wanted to post, and give this board the props it deserves. This is one of the nicest boards I have used, and it only cost me 76$ shipped from newegg.

Interesting, thanks for the link. For this price, I may decide to follow John Bear and pick up one of these after work today. I'll have to bring back the 2x256 Winbond CH-5s that I bought yesterday and exchange it for 1x512.

Was going for the NF7-S, but with the amount saved from this motherboard I can pick up a XP2500+ instead of a 1800+!

I have been pointing that mobo out since it was very first released at other forums. The review has ben out for a while at amdmb, but seems like alot of people had to find out for themselves that it was just as fast, if not faster than dual channel Nf2's. Im sure you will really enjot it.

Seems like a great board, but people are also overlooking the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra 400 which IS a Dual Channel board, and can be had for under $70 also. Newegg has them for $69, and if you add the $10 off from the CDR in the bundle section, it lowers the cost by another $5. I think newegg made a mistake on that, cause all the other items in the bundle section cost $10.

Final price= $64 shipped for a dual channel nforce2 board.

The store I went to didnt sell the Soltek NV400, so I went ahead and bought another nForce2 400 board, the Asus A7N8X-X. I'm pairing it up with an Barton 2500+ AQXEA 0330 and a stick of Winbond CH-5 512mb DDR400.

At first glance, the Asus has its ATX power connector on the right side which is somewhat better than the Soltek's placement. It's got an additional ddr ram slot (three vs. the Soltek's two), but it does not have the 12v motherboard connector... Does this translate to less stability when overclocking? I'll find out when I put this thing together later today!

And oh yeah, it's not purple. :)

It should be fine without the 12v. I have a biostar m7ncdp without the 12v and in at 2.3-2.4 Ghz. Good luck with the board, and enjoy-

I was waiting for this board to come back in stock at newegg when I picked up an 8rda+ used here which I love. Now I'm spoiled for nforce 2 and no more 8rda's; going to get one of these for my main rig when I pay off my credit card:brokenheart: thanks for the link to the review. It's everything I thought it was.
