Link.

This Soltek board costs about the same as the value 939 boards, but it offers a full set of features that compares well to any Socket 939 board. It is also a very fast performer at stock speeds, performing as well or better than any VIA K8T800 Pro motherboard that we have tested.

Note:There were some issues that were covered in the review.

Saw the review today, thanks Anand was wondering if you would review this board. Ive been using it now for about 2weeks, updated the bios for the fix the single/duel channel 2 slot problem. I do not know about the 4 dimm slot as I dont have that much ram :)

So far the boards been excellent. No lockups, no bootup problems runs fast and stable.

:)

Hey BF04,

Have you done any benchmarkings? What do you score in 3dmark 05 w/ this board?

Thanks.

Here are my update benchmarks. I am not OCing the cpu only the vid card by 25mhz on the core. After updating the bios to fix the memory running duel channel I have no problems. Not a single crash either, I was little worried about some of the other 939s boards and runnign stable, so far so good on this one.

Soltek boards are great.... if I were to go S939 right now, I'd be getting this one most likely (unless something else comes out before then, cause I think it will be a little while yet!!)

very happy with my K8AN2E-GR for now!!!

Hey, thanks guys for the reply.

I can get 5179 marks in 2005 no oc mobo, but oc video 400/1100. I'm hoping to do better with the Soltek board, according to Anandtech, it out performs the a8v. Any thoughts?

I don't really see the point in upgrading from your A8V, it's not like you'd notice the difference.

I agree on that.. I wouldn't change from an A8V to the Soltek just for 1-2% performance increase.

Hey thanks guys for the advice. I'm just so anxious about the n4 being released. I quess I'll just have to wait! It should be some xmas! I reversed the soltek purchase because it was on backorder. So I'll keep the a8v and wait to have a MERRY CHRISTMAS with all my new play toys!

New review up ,

The stock performance was on par with other VIA K8T800 Pro based Motherboards and the overclocking ability outshined that of the ABIT AV8. With the exception of the limit we hit at 250 MHz front side bus everything else, including overclocking, was an absolutely smooth experience. We'd have no reservations suggesting the Soltek SL-K8TPro Motherboard to anyone looking to build an AMD64 socket 939 system.
