Soltek 75KAV BIOS Voltage vs. Via Hardware Monitor voltage

Does anybody know if there is an "incompability" between the bios voltage
settings on the SOltek 75KAV and the voltage shown in Via Hardware Monitor.
I've manually set the CPU voltage to 1.7 V but Via HM says 1.78 V?????

Is this general for all VIA motherboards since I'm new to these??

It is mormal for the hardware monitor to read higher than the Vcore set in BIOS. I've seen this on multiple boards starting with the KX133. Lower the BIOS setting if you are uncomfortable.

How do you like that Soltek board?

just ignore via hardware monitor. Its wrong

Have any of you guys got ram in dimms 1 and 2

When I have that I can't get FSB133 without random lockups.

Post your specs guys, I'd like to see what results others are gettin with this board

Duron 650@933 (133 FSB) 1.775 volts
Global Win FOP32-1
128 + 64 MB PC 100 Mem
Matrox G400

I'm going to change the multiplier to 8.5 and the FSB to 105-110, as I can run my mem at +33 MHz CAS 3 with 4-way interleave with 100 MHz FSB, but strangely I can't run with interleave at 133 MHz FSB.

Idle socket temp around 39 C, full load around 44 C.

The best thing about thihs board IHMO is all the tweaking options, the ram voltage selector allows me to run my PC 100 mem at 143 MHz at 3.4 volts, gotta love that :)

Sandra Mem scores:

ALU/FPU
360/425 (Mem @ 133 CAS 3)
460/560 (Mem @ 143 CAS 3 4-w interleave)

sounds like your using more than one stick of ram, if your using two dimm slots try using 1 at full speed, all options on. Not everyone has instability using 2 slots but I,m damn sure I do.

I'm using 2 sticks at 133 MHz FSB without problems (other than not being able
to run with interleave on the mem).

I think I'll try to increase the voltage on the chip to 1.85 and go for a gig.

I have 3 slots filled and running it on 139Mhz bus with out any problem.
