in another post, someone inquired to toms hardware about the issue and the answer was yes, however i'm just a secondary source...

the answer is a 100% "NO" !!!!

I got email from one soltek guy in taiwan and one of the testers at Tom's....the alpha 8045 does NOT fit.

they do have the 4 screw holes by the cpu... so that would indicate that it would fit the alpha 8045??

AMD's Socket A specs require the 4 holes - the issue is whether or not there are tall capacitors near the socket that would be in the way when mounting the heatsink

I have this board and have posted this very question the other day. I believe that it will not fit without a mod.
On the back side of the socket there is a very tall capiciter that will most likely interfere. From what I see that is the only
issue, but I do not have the heatsink. My current heatsink is a 60mm Gladiator and it is close to the capiciter as is.
If the heatsink is about 3/8" larger on each side it will definately hit. I am thinking about getting the heatsink and cutting
that corner off.
