I bought a G6 GT on the 9th of this month. I've been driving it around Phoenix. Obviously, the AC is on this time of year (it was 112F yesterday). I'm learning to drive with a lighter foot now (I only had 4 cylinders previously). Anyway, so far I've averaged about 25 mpg on the surface streets and 30.9 mpg on the highways inside and around Phoenix (101, 10, 17). That's actually better than my 4 cylinder 2002 grand am was getting. Again, I'm learning to drive with a lighter foot, too, so keep that in consideration. Maybe the Solstice will do better on mileage than reported.

Saturn Sky > Solstice

Its the same engine in the same car with 7 less hp????

The sky has a retractable hardtop, i'd imagine the weight from the mechanics of that took off a horse or two

Are you being sarcastic?

lol, the hardtop is driven off of the crank pulley

I'm imagining that top just flying up. WHam!

I like the styling of the Sky. Maybe if it is more economic I will consider it. I am hoping it is even a little cheaper than the Solstice since it is under a Saturn badge but maybe I am just wishful. Choosing a future car is a PITA.

Is there a website where you can compare average insurance rates for certain vehicle types without using a specific VIN to get quotes. How much more is it to ensure a roadster? Likely will make or break the car as a possible purchase for me.

OP, STHU. It's a sports car, not an econobox. People are always looking for a way to piss on something

That being said, it's within margin of error for 4-cylinder roadsters:

S2000: 20/25
Miata: 23/28
Elise: 23/27 (a vehicle that ways about 900 lbs less I might add)

Im seriously not looking to piss on something NFS4. I was excited about this car when the concept was first shown with the blown engine. I just thought that if theyre going to use the 2.4 ecotec in the car that it would get better mileage.

People are saying it is due to gearing. If the gearing turns out to be good for autoX then I wont be so disappointed TBH at the time of posting I didnt even think about the fact that they may have given it aggressive ratios.

The 2.4 ecotec going into the car - is it the same one that everyone is turbocharging and setting records on the salt flats?
