You should probably check with your provider and give them that tracerout - that's where it dies. If there's a bottleneck, its around hop 16/17

OK joe

If you have any customers in the UK would you mind asking them if they can access.

I've tried 5 people across UK and my ISP's Indoian call centre and they can't

And yes I know it's hostpc.com (see edit above) 🙂

You're now responding to my emails, AT hostpc ... so we'll continue this there.

I've checked several EU customers - no issues

*bump* -- for a "three-fer" sale this week-end only for new or upgrading accounts

tripple the specs for their reasonable rates

Hey guys,

I just wanted to chime in here and say that I've been with HostPC for a couple of years. In fact, I got wind of them through ATOT. I've had no problems at all, and getting a blog up with wordpress was ridiculously easy. I definately recommend them.

great deal! just signed up today, a 3-fer sounds killer. Domain + hosting for less then 50 bucks for a year, woohoo!

bump bump bump

my account is up and going, I didn't get an email saying it was ready, but that didn't stop me from poking around. domain is registered even. Last time I registered a domain I seem to remember it taking 24+ hours.

I'm old school, used to telnetting in and compiling/installing proggies manually. Been awhile since I touched anything like that. I know this Installtron is not a Hostpc only thing, but daam it's cool. I clicked on what I wanted and it installed and did the basic configuration in like 2 seconds.

I am impressed with the speed of things, the price was crazy, 45 bucks for a year hosting, a domain, and they're running 2x deal until the end of October, everything is doubled

10000 megs = 20000 megs, same for bandwidth and email addys.

I am blown away for what i got for so little money. a Big thumbs up now I'm off to go play with this Installtron stuff, very sweet 🙂

one question, I see an option for $12 bucks to give you a static ip. I see the benefit to having one on your dsl/cable, but what exactly is the upside to having your web site on one?

doesn't include a domain, not sure about the xfer. I had them register a couple for me, 10 bucks each, and no hassle on my part. Best 55 bucks I'll spend this year

Yeah, almost signed up, but realized you gotta have your own domain. ...ended up going with the netfirms dela thats still going on.

Anyways, thanks OP!
