Ok. First let me say that I don't tend to run Quake III!
What I do run is games like Tiberian Sun, Diablo II, Baldur's Gate etc.

What is a good solid video card for running those type of games???
I'm currently running a Voodoo 3 2000 AGP, but want to upgrade.
BTW I will be installing the new card on a Microstar K7T Pro 2A Mobo.

Any help is appreciated.

seriously, save your money man
those games won't see a benefit with a new card! it's all 3d improvements nowadays. instead make sure you have a fast CPU to cope with all the in-game calculations, dice rolling, AI, whatever it is.

god-damn I actually bothered to look at your system rig. you're not winding us up are you? a k62-500 would be a cheap upgrade but otherwise go for a mobo and cpu if you care that much.

The new video card is for a new system I'm building. My current system is too old and slow for me. I'm starting on the building process for an Athlon T-Bird 800MHz.

So basically you only play 2D games? In that case any card with Direct Draw drivers and 8MB+ video RAM will be fine. In all honesty you should just keep your Voodoo 3.
