I believe that they said it would be at last year's E3...not sure if anything has changed. It isn't like its an entirely difficult game to produce, seeing as how the selling point is multiplayer and thus drawn out story line and single player game play isn't as necessary (ie Zelda, another launch title).

SSB... over teh intarweb?!? who the hell cares about halo 3 when you've got smash?

While I would agree that Halo is nothing really special in the multiplayer department (I've had 10x better with PC since '98, and considering GoldenEye/Perfect Dark was better/more advanced than Halo (other than the vehicles), I wasn't too impressed. However the single player story is pretty good, as well as the game play, and the Co-op is pretty much second to none. Co-op is a severely underrated aspect of game play, and Halo half-asses it... yet because it?s one of the only FPS co-ops out of the box, it wins by default.

I'm pumped for Halo 3, but not nearly as pumped as I am for Wii, lucky me Wii comes out before Halo 3. I'll be content with Wii to hold off on spending money for a 360.

How the hell did Solid Snake get involved with Nintendo? I thought Metal Gear was a strictly Sony game since Metal Gear Solid came out.

There is a Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes game (remake of the first MGS) on the gamecube. There is MGS 2 for the Xbox and PC as well. Its not an exclusive franchise for Sony, it just so happens the Sony camp gets the new sequels first.

Let's not forget that metal gear franchise's first console was the NES... before it became a 3d third person game.

It's 100% not a launch title. The dev's said it won't be out until '07.

doh 🙁

ah well, no matter. I'm buying that game once that comes out.
Wii + Zelda + accessories + some other games... looks like i'll be out $400+ when Wii hits the shelves 🙂

Dang, how do I convince a pregnant wife who's said that I'm NEVER going to buy a console again that I need this? :frown:

She'll be too distracted with the baby to worry about the new console. But then again, it's not as if you'll have any time to be playing with the Wii, because you'll be cleaning a lot of wee wee.
