Do rebates work when sent to P.O boxes? I will send my other rebates to my PO box.
 
The staples rebate is only good for one family/per address....you won't be able to get it at the such a cheap price if you intend to get two...

nonetheless, it's a great deal even if you get two 🙂

I called my local Staples to verify stock, asked them to put my name on it, drove over to pick it up; not in stock & the guy had put my note on a Compaq 910US ($779 on clearance XP 1500, 14.1 TFT, 30GB HD, 256mb, DVD/CDRW).

Manager felt bad & offered it to me @ $650 & took a $30 off $150 coupon.

The $250 in rebates printed up @ the register... WOOT

I got one this morning (Philly area) They had 2 in stock when I got there. I called my wife when I got home and her co-worker ran out to get the other one and it was already gone!

What does everyone's new lappy show under system properties for speed and ram? Mine shows 694 MHz and 112 MB of RAM 😕

no go in L.A., I called atleast 20 staples and none had any prebuilt notebooks whatsoever. best they had was a Toshiba 1.5Celeron, dvd, floppy, modem, nic, 256 ram, 20 GB for 899 after rebate at the studio city staples. 🙁 oh well it was worth a try.
 
Out of Stock in DC Metro Area. Called a store in Stafford and someone was purchasing it while I was on the phone. Why am I always one step behind everyone else? DOH!
 
Man, some guys at work wanted in on the deal. Called a couple Staples, and it seems like they've been bombarded with calls for it! Glad some of you were able to find some, but definitely has limited availability.
