I love some of these "HOT DEALS" that people post, having most certainly not actually "done" the deal. It reminds me of the Monty Python sketch on how to become rich and famous.....Just find the cure for a major disease......and so forth....;)
This is supposed to be a forum for legitimate hot deals, not deals that require lots of luck and misinformed sales people(although most seem to be....;) )

this is hillarious! I did this exact deal, and I got the case in today. I was just going to post it, when I saw this.

I pricematched it to EMS computing, and Staples has it only on 3 to 5 days, so they pricemathed it to $130. I bought stuff for $20 more, because at the time there was no $20 off 100. So I used the $30 off $150 myself. But you could get that case for $110 shipped to your place using the 20 off 100, or buy some free after rebate stuff and use the 30 off 150 and get it for $100 if you like MIR. But the deal worked for me. It is an awesome case. The only bad thing is, Staples only has the black one in their inventory.

Black is not a problem, oh by the way is it black black or the greyish black? Also , I've never had a case that used rails before, are they a PITA or are they ok to deal with? Thanks......

The black is not a black black. It is a very passiv, non-shiny black that appears to have some gray in it, but then, I can't really say it is not black. The drive rails are awedome. Just screw them to the drive, and stick it in. Then take it out to take it to your frineds PC. Or even take out the whole Hard Drive Rack in about 1 second, and take the Hard Drive with you! This case is really worth its money!

Refresh,

Could you give us a few more details on how you arrived at that price? I've never PM at Staples before, and want to have answers for the sales associate just in case. Thanks.

Staples IS saying 3-5days shipment for me also... hrmm.. this could be hot :) I think I might have to try this... now, what is the best way to get the PM and the coupon to work? Get the PM first then go to the store to get my $$ back from the coupon? Anyone know of a CSR which doesnt mind PM + Coupon?

Ok, here is how it works:

Staples Price matches products to their service. If they can ship it next day, then the store you price match with has to ship next day or next best thing as well. In this case, that would be $135 of shipping. However, Staples can only ship in 3 to 5 days. That means, where you want to pricematch with, only has to ship in 3 to 5 days. With that shipping included, the price at ems computing comes out to be just a bit above $130 after Price Match. Then you use the $15 off 100 and your final price will be $115. Now this varies with tax and stuff, but for $110 to $120 you get a case and PSU where the PSU alone is worth $80 and the Case alone is worth $ 60. And best of all, you get it shipped free to your door. What more detail do you need?

So it works out as:

$119.00 + $19.80 (pm to ems cost and ground shipping) - $20 ($20 off $100 coupon staples coupon)

= $118.80 + tax

... correct?

edit: Just made my purchase. Came to $125.xx after tax. :)

I ordered over the phone: 1-800-Staples or 1-800-3staple. That is the way to go. It took me 3 calls so:)

Just call 1-800-3staple and tell them you want to order. Give them the SKU.

Then tell the you'd like to PM with EMScomputing.com (have the page open so you can refer to it).

They'll take a couple minutes to confirm it.

Once they say OK, nicely ask if you can use your coupon.

They might input it or not... since supposedly you're allowed either the PM or coupon, not both but it worked for me. Good luck!

Cheval, staples requires you to purchase first, then pricematch after. I'm gonna try this myself since a few people here actually did it.

not a bad deal at all. Too bad ive already got so many cases lying around. I think I'll wait until the 1080 goes alum, and/or gets a real black color. Directron needs to hurry up...

Thanks for the quick replies!

I was just looking over the pricematching information at Staples.com and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with a coupon + pricematching

Available coupons and rebates will be deducted from the Staples price to come up with a net Staples price when calculating the price match. For example, if you buy an item from us for $100, and we offer a $20 rebate, the net price is $80. If the item is available from another company for $80 or more, there will be no price match. Another example would be if you buy an item from us for $159 and you have a $30 coupon the net price is $129. If the item is available from another company for $125, the price match will be for $4.40 (110% of the difference).

Shipping and handling charges are included. When comparing our price to another company's delivery price, the equivalent shipping and handling charges will be included. If proof of the other company's shipping and handling charges are not supplied, then $5 will be added to the other company's price. (For example, if you buy an item from us for $100, with free delivery, and the item is available from another company for $90, with overnight shipping and handling charges of $7, then the difference is $3. You receive 110% of $3, which is $3.30.)

Staples pricematch FAQ page

seems all A.O.K with me. I'm gonna shoot for it tomorrow. :)

Yeah, I was wondering about the aluminum thing myself. But this is just a dang good price that I'll jump on it! Also, I never take my computer anywhere so if it's a bit heavy, ah, I got a sturdy desk. ;)

I was just on vacation in Willaimsburg, VA and the local Staples was carrying Antec cases! I hope this is a sign of things to come. Anybody else's Staples stocking these?
