I think the video said the Bibles found were open to Revelation 10 and 11. The reporter also claimed that passage referenced a storm that destroyed a city over 3 days.

That does not match my Bible. Chapter 10 talks about an angel and a small scroll given to a man so he can prophesize. Chapter 11 talks about the two witnesses that will stand in Jerusalem and prophesize. Nowhere do I see mention of a storm that will last three days and destroy a city.

It could very well be, the power of suggestion playing on one's mind, they hear it from someone else, therefore believeing it, and experiencing something for themselves later.

But, when a soldier is out there, doing his/her job. Then suddenly is faced with something out of the ordinary, the unknown, that can't be explained by regular conventional methods. Who is to say they may not of actually seen something? What are they going to do?

Just becasue they are speaking up about it, does it mean they are crazy? No. They may very well have seen something, who knows really. There are things out there, that cannot be explained sometimes, we all know that.

If you don't have a firm grip on reality you'll tend to believe such nonsense. But if you do, you'd see that such stories are just pure BS.

If you had all the facts, anything could be explained. Again, a stronger mind will be able to discern things which a weaker mind cannot.

Same thing goes with buying into marketing hype- a smart person will remember that he's heard similar claims before and they never come through. The next time he hears it he'll tend not to believe it. However, someone who's not so smart will fall for it repeatedly. (read: Sony PS3 claims).

Some people just have a very hard time differentiating fact from fiction.
