There's content in the Old Testament that amounts to killing infidels as well. The problem with a lot of religions is that people believe that there's a lot of room for interpretation. I recently had a discussion with a rabbi online about a passage in Deuteronomy that IMO clearly said one thing (ie. not implied, explicit) and he claimed it didn't say anything like that at all (he then went on to say that it said something completely different which wasn't in any way implied in the text at all and that only qualified and appointed people could make judgements about what it actually meant, which made me think "well where the f*** does that leave the average person?").

So you could possibly find a nut-case who is also a Muslim cleric, you honestly think a nut-case Christian cleric who advocates horrendous things can't be found?

You know, I have an idea to deal with all these "terrorish" threats. It's a bit barbaric, but, I think it might work. Hear me out.

If I was in charge of things, I'd make an announcement "The next motherfucker that blow up, maim, kill ANY of my citizen, not only you but your WHOLE VILLAGE will face the consequences of YOUR actions". And, when something happens, I'm going to find out whoever is responsible, and I'll turn that whole village/town/city into a parking lot.

Yeah, someone else will try to do some more harm to my people. Guess what? I'll repeat the turning a few more villages/towns/city into parking lots until they get it. If they don't stop? Well that's just too easy...

You know why my method works?

It's just like dealing with wild animals, you don't talk to them because they don't understand you. They only understand one thing, and, just like dealing with animals, you only have very few choices. It's kill, or be killed. You have to show the animals who IS the alpha male.

And, if you're still not convinced that I'm right, I give you exhibit A - Japan.

We'd still be fighting that war if we didn't bring out a can of whoop ass. Nothing puts a fear of God/Allah/Vishnu/Buddha/FSM/etc... into you more than the threat of total annihilation.

And, if I don't wipe you out, I'm pretty sure the people of your village/town/city that you're associated with won't want to let you live, because you'll wipe them out with your stupid ass.

So after you've turned several of your own cities into parking lots and killed all the people living there, and a large portion of the rest of your country's population is fleeing, where does that leave you? Perhaps someone from your own city/town/village will come and put you out of your misery, because if they succeed or fail in their attempt, your revenge would clearly take care of their objective in the process.

I think your plan may need just a tiny bit of fine tuning. 😛

What I find crazy about this topic is basically how easy a lot of people find it to judge huge amounts of people based on the actions of a tiny percentage. It's like saying that all Germans at the time of WW2 were Nazis. IMO the labelling of Muslims as some kind of threat because of the actions of a tiny percentage claiming to be such is just closet racism.

Why would do that to my own cities? I follow the tree to its roots. If it's internal, ala mikeymikec, I'm pretty sure my own citizen will oust idiots like you for being an idiot. Most of my sane citizens won't have your same agendas, though there are fringe.

And yeah, there won't be any lengthy trials in my system. I know what you're thinking, and yeah, I won't hesitate...

You would make a good Nazi - you're well below the terrorists.

It takes someone pretty bad to make the terrorists look better next to them.

It's sad how predictable these type of people are, always the same thing, dehumanize the 'other group', take no responsibility for yours, say 'all they understand is violence'.

There's a joke that fits this mentality, 'the beatings will continue until morale improves'.

How would anyone in the US or UK like to have what's happening to Muslim countries done to them?

How about Saudi Arabi flies drones over London and Washington and kills thousands of targets along with the people near them at the time? No problem?
