I sold the '98 QX4 to a nice guy who leaves about an hour north of here.

Yesterday I picked up the new to car...

2002 Infiniti I35, pearl white, 83k, $12300

In 2002, I35 had three option packages... Sport Package (VDC, which is some type of electronic stability control that applies different pressure to each wheel brake set or something, side sill skirts, different suspension, etc.) Cold Weather Package (heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, heated mirrors) and the Sun n' Shade package (sunroof and rear window power shade).

My car has all 3 options, woot! It also has 17" chrome wheels and a spoiler, which were options. The only option the car does not have is the navigation system. Shucks.

The car has factory Xenon HIDs, 260hp from the VQ35DE, etc. I'll post pictures up later, just wanted to let the Nissan fanbois know that I'm still in the gang.:D

I like that car and everything

but

I hate the fake wood dash inside and all of the I35s come with that nasty wood dash!!!

Eh I guess with a black interior it isnt so bad.

I like the 2002 maxima. I35 is sweet too.

Great Price.. did you buy from a dealer ?

Yes, a dealership. They do about 90% commercial sales (big white box trucks, delivery vans, etc.) and 10% consumer vehicles like mine.

This is my third Infiniti.

I bought a '97 I30 that I totalled in January of this year. I drove the QX4 from January until this past week when it sold. I sold it for a few reasons, but nothing overwhelming. Gas mileage wasn't great (15mpg), it had an annoying throttle position sensor problem, and the car just wasn't in that great of shape (needed quite a bit of paint work for a '98, the interior leather had some cuts, etc.). I am saving money on monthly gas and insurance bills by about $60, although my car payment went up $30.

I also bought the I35 because of the instant equity. My bank said they could give me $19,300 for the car and I bought it for $12,300, so I've got a lot of equity in it already. I plan to keep it for at least 2 years, at which point it will have about 115k miles, and I should be able to sell it for about the same price I paid for it.
