My wife has wanted one of these massage chairs for years. Since I just impulse bought another 20" Dell LCD 25% off I figure it's time to treat her right too.

Here is the black model which is 70+% off. [EDIT 12/18: sold out! -- was $650]]

I actually bought this one which is a bit more stylish to my taste. [EDIT 12/18 - now not available likely D/T Anand effect]

If you do a search on "human touch" you'll come up with other colors and models as well all discounted.

Hopefully this is hot. I know my wife is going to be when she sees it - total surprise!

Edit: for the record, These are RECONDITIONED.

WARNING: My wife and I bought an $800 chair last year from SI...same song and dance - lightly used - my *ss. The chair cam ein a box that some kid must have packed after they used the chair on every fat guy in Buffalo, Detroit, and the entire state of Florida. The thing was HAGGARD. We returned it.

Ugh. I sure hope no fat guys have been on my chair. The site does list some products as like new and others as "less than new" in the refurb section. I assume yours was "less than new." The one I ordered was like new. I've ordered refurb stuff before, though not from SI, and it's always been just like new.

I'll report back later to update the deal.

Oh man I remember they had these in costco a long time ago for like $2500 or something, I sat and tried it out just for kicks, because I can't afford a $2500 chair. Man oh Man that thing is greeeat feels like someone is giving you a massage, only massage chair I have ever liked. As long as its in like new condition this deal is a very very good deal. Your wife should love it.

My millionaire friend has one of these.. Totally badass. I'd buy one in a heartbeat if I had the funds right now. That's a steal!

This one is without ottoman. Is there anything special to the ottoman that comes with it?

No, I checked into that. The ottoman is not a massaging unit. The one I ordered does have leg massage, but it's a couple hundred more and less % markdown. You can get the ottoman version, but it's like 450 more - you can buy a heck of an ottoman for that much moola.

These are almost worth a trip to the mall. Every time I go to the mall I have to stop & try it out.
Not worth $2500 IMO, but most definitely worth $750.

BIG A$$ BUMP, those chairs are the BOMB!!! Yes, it is worth a trip to the mall

About 2 years ago, i was rear ended and my back was sore for a long time. A combination of doing stretching exercises and using that chair at the mall, made the pain go away. I wish i had the cash to get one.

i have this massage chair which I bought new when I worked in Sharper Image with my employee discount (70%off)

When I worked there my co-worker offered some guy his employee discount since he knew he was never going to buy this chair, the lucky guy gave him a few hundred dollars cash in exchange for his 70% discount. So if your really interested in this chair try to talk your way into a similiar deal.

Could be worse, the fatguys could have had chili dogs and beans for lunch prior to sitting in the chair...:)

My chair arrived today. In the box it looks just like new. I haven't gotten it out of the (BIG!) box yet because it's a surprise Christmas gift for my wife and I have it hidden at my office. I'll report back when I get it set up but so far it looks like no slobs ever sat on mine, hurray!

I got mine too. The chair looks fairly new. I did notice one knick into the upholstery at the feet of the chair, and the area around the head is a little faded out. The motor inside seems to be fine except in some modes the rollers don't reach out far enough to actually massage your back.

Maybe you got a better conditioned chair? Overall, I'm happy that I didn't spend too much on an expensive chair.

Wife loves it. It is like new - I can't tell it was ever used. Very happy purchaser here. Thing is powerful - lifts me right off the chair when it really gets going. Hopefully this deal will come up again when they build up some more refurbs.

Merry Christmas to all.

Great Deal, but im holding out for a good deal on a Zero Gravity chair. No massage but nothing beats reclining back on one of these thigs. If anyone finds a deal, please post it. I've got a herniated disc in my low back and Im only 23. This is going to be a truly essential investment.

I'm holding out for zero gravity, period....Then you can go to the moon or mars n'such and not have to use a spaceship.
