Fry's electronics also has the e8400 with ecs board for $219 today only. I called and they said they would give you a choice of oem or retail boxed for the same price.

I'd like to get this chip. I'd also like to put it on a quality mobo that overclocks well and will also support at least one 9800 GX2. What mobo do you recommend. I don't need all the bells and whistles, I'm just looking for perfomance. I'm considering the ABIT IP35-E.

This statement here is an oxymoron.

The ip35-e i feel is not a great BOARD.

Stupid board has one of the WORST Vdroops ive seen. Get an ASUS P5K-E at the bear min, or a Gigabyte DS4.

Spend a decient amount on the board. They last longer and work better on quads if thats an upgrade for you in the future as well.

ClubIT also has it, along with the E8200 for $173. Looks like the new batch is starting to come in and hopefully there will be no more price gouging.

No prob.

The AC Freezer 7 pro should be enough as long as you dont plan on going much over 4ghz. Most issues with it are on the install, but that is the damn 775's fault. I hope you enjoy your chip as much as I have mine.
