Harvard's Technology Products Center is having an Apple Warehouse Sale.

Their main promotion is a $199 iPod, which comes out to $208.95 with tax. Limit 1 per customer.

Their address is 175 North Harvard Street in Allston, near the Business School. The sale ends at 4pm today, Tuesday 2/26.

You have to have a Harvard ID, or an ID from an "affiliated institution." When I was buying my iPod, I asked what counted as an affiliated institution, and the guy mentioned affiliated hospitals and said that pretty much any University student would do. He used, as an example, an Emerson student. I asked if MIT students could get in on the deal and he said yes.

I tried the internet and calling and asked them if they could ship or anything, Todd, the guy I talked to, said it was good for anyone with university ID and that the sale was good only for in-store purchases. The regular priced there is $369 and they couldn't ship to me in Utah for less than that, even when I offered to fax a copy of my student ID, etc.

Don't bother calling on this one, you have to know someone at Harvard. I can't get this one for sure!

really wish i lived in the Boston area, got my non-dated and therefore still valid university id right here in my wallet (i use it constantly at movie theatres etc, eventually they will stop accepting it i figure =P)

Harvard tutition = $25,000 per year + ipod $199 = $25,199 for one year of education + an ipod .... Would the ipod be a detriment to the education?

Correction:

Tuition = ~25,000 dollars
Room & Board = 8000-9000 dollars.
Total cost: 33,000-34,000 dollars.
Tack on another $800 a year in books, and you've got yourself about 140,000-150,000 for an undergraduate education.

Of course, if you're a really, really smart guy, Harvard will be more than willing to cover this cost with the interest from their 40 Billion dollar endowment.

All iPods SOLD OUT at Harvard. Apparently they went through 100 in a flash...no wonder considering the deal.
