I still like those $100 Microcenter Z97 G3258 in-store combos, and in Black Friday season a really good deal can show up any time.

ProTip: If this board's video outputs are anything like my Gigabyte's H81M-DS2V (DVI-I + VGA), then you can use a cheap ($5) ATI/AMD DVI-to-HDMI adapter to get HDMI output (including audio!).

I could not seem to get audio to work over DVI to HDMI with my board. (I own this MSI board in my HTPC)

Had a brief period without a video card in it.

I've got mine pushing a G3258 at 4.3GHz and I haven't tried to go any further at this point due to cooling limitations

Were you using an adapter known to pass audio over DVI? Like the ATI adapter? Or just a DVI-to-HDMI cable?

Just a DVI to HDMI Cable.

I've never had to use an adaptor with onboard DVI outputs on AMD boards.

It was just a temp situation for me so I didn't investigate too hard.
