And man, i never knew how much i was going to miss it. But the logistics in getting that down to Boca is just too much of a pain.

Mine is sitting here in front of me, unused, as I type this on my laptop. Waiting for parts for my new rig to arrive. :(

No idea. I don't have any immediately plans to replace it. I'll be moving from Canada to Boca Raton, so i plan on hanging around the beach and hitting everything i can while i'm new up there.

I'm thinking maybe ~6 months or so, i'll start looking at new TVs then. Hopefully Westinghouse will come out with a 3rd gen. I LOVE the monitor, but i HATE HATE the remote and OSD. I'm hoping they'll rectify that in the 3rd gen.

I had a projector. A screen measured in feet was making me nauseous when using my 360

What did you do, sit like 3 feet away from it? I have a Cheap PJ with a cheap 100" screen and we sit 15 feet from it and play games on it all the time and none of us (wife and I and our two boys) have yet to get a sick feeling. Fact is we can never go back to playing family night on a tiny tv again. We tried it on our 30" when the 65" broke and we just had no fun at all trying to play on the 30" tv after playing for several months on the 65". Now that we are on the 100", anything else would be pointless.

Nothing like a 3 foot Mario :)

How buggy were yours?

The early 37" and 42" models were VERY buggy, according to reports online. I haven't followed them since.

Not 3 feet away from it, but at the foot of my bed. It was like the theatres, but i was in my bed. 10x better experience than going out to the movies.

Are you old? If not then you probably won't like South FL much. Weather is nice in the winter though.

Job! Got offered a position as Clinical Research Coordinator. I'm flying up next week for the 'interview' (my friend is Director of Business, so she's hiring me, and it's more or less a sure thing - she's already got an apartment lined up for me and everything) on the 18th, but on the 19th i'm getting flown to Las Vegas by the pharmaceutical companies to get started on a schizophrenic study. I'll fly back to Canada after a week to settle some things, like giving my boss 2 weeks notice (well, i already told him i'll be leaving, but i'll finish my last 2 weeks when i get back), getting the TN work visa, etc, then i'll be down permanently sometime in March.

Yeah, i'm REALLY REALLY looking forward to Boca Raton. Not too many in the US i would say i would be happy to live in, but this looks like a great place.

Having lived in South Florida for 9 years, North Florida for 4, and Southwest Florida for 4, I can honestly say I love living here. Sure there are old people, but there are quite a few-non geezers as well, especially South Florida.

Congrats! :)

Boca is a great town, just north of where i lived with my parents, Coral Springs. Even took some summer courses at FAU while I was home from UF. Still drive up there all the time when im home visiting, Town Center is by far the best mall in the area...
