Well at least he knows where you live. That way he can come back and set fire to your house after it breaks in a few days.

it is on buyer to get informed on product.

if we're in perfect world half of products wouldn't even exist because they are utter crap.

good luck with selling xbox labeled as "it is gonna explode any minute now"

i agree. it is on the buyer. BUT when you have a paice of shit like the OP you are not going to get honest answeres.

the OP is a scammer. then thought it would be good to brag about it. totaly dick move.

since the buyer knows where he lives i hope he comes back and kicks the OP's ass. but i suspect the op won't get the lesson.

Selling something that you know is about to break to some kid without even informing him of its condition is just cruel.

I can't help but  at this thread. What's the OP suppose to do, not dump it at all? It's not his fault the buyer didn't ask any questions. Hell, I dumped mine on Gamestop for $90, and they didn't question me either. One of the 2 guys that were there didn't even know they came without HDMI, and he works in a freaking Gamestop!!!

The dude had no clue how to hook it up, and powered it up with no video cable connected. Of course it gave the 3 rings of death. I was like WTF dude, you just broke it! That's when the other kid came over, and got it to boot. Once it did, he turned it off, and gave me my cash. We spent the next 10 minutes talking about Batman.😀

Totally. It's not his fault he's a liar! Poor guy did the only thing he could do in the situation.

It's generally considered good practice to inform the buyer of a used object of it's condition prior to purchase. If the buyer never asked, well, the buyer sounds like an idiot as well, but that doesn't save the OP from being a douche. Knowingly selling something you think is in poor shape (and likely to fail completely) to someone for $200 without even mentioning it is bad practice, and being a prick.

Brag thread fail.

I'm with you on the brag thread, and because of it, agree that the OP is a bit of a douche. However, I fail to see how the OP is a douche for not putting down something he was trying to sell.

How is this any different than not listing any problems in an eBay auction?

The difference is he met with the buyer, and let him check it out. How the heck is it his fault that the buyer was uninformed?

Because it was him that didn't inform him.

Didn't inform him of what?? The guy knew the 360 was used.

But he didn't know it was about to break. Do you really think that if the buyer asked if it was going to break Heller would have said "ya, you got me."?

http://mw1.meriam-webster.com/dictionary/lie

lie (verb):
2. to create a false or misleading impression.

If he knew it was about to break yet didn't mention it, that IMO is creating a misleading impression about the state of the 360.

I guess it just comes down to whether you believe in being honest, or are just interested in making a few bucks at someone's expense.

The problems with the 360 have been known for years. There have been quite a few new revisions, and yet the 360 still has a high failure rate. Knowing this, people still want the used models. If you asked me about mine, it been about to break for the last year or so. IMO, the majority of them are. Are you saying no one should sell their old one?

There's a difference between electronics that are prone to breaking and something that is showing signs of breaking soon and acting "finicky".

I suppose the buyer is at fault for making a poor buy as well, it's just easier to hate on Heller.

😀

I can live with that!!!

So you sold something that has a very good chance of failing to an unsuspecting buyer? Who do you think you are, Microsoft? 😉
