I assume you mean Soderbergh. And I disagree.

Tarkovsky's version makes the Soderbergh version look like an action movie. I also understand that it deviates in significant ways from the Lem novel (but I haven't read that, so I don't hold that against it).

I do know that, but have no information about the original work. It is similar to Psycho, the original was great, the movie they made a couple years back sucked golf balls through garden hoses.

jeeze man, the remake was done SHOT FOR SHOT. all that leaves to be different is the acting.

That's the kind of hoighty-toity comment that some snub-nosed Hollywood slapdoll would say about a clearly awful movie that has something they try to say is artistic about it...


If anyone ever calls a movie artisic, it just plain means BAD, people!!! You call something artistic when it comes out like sh|t. BTW, my sh|t is art, too.
