solaris newbie help : getting dsl to work on my ultra 10 ?

i connected my xp machine and now the problem exists on it ...

it can get an ip ... but cant hit anything outside ...

very wierd .... seems like some wierd kinda limit or something ...

do y'all know whats goin on ?

hey n0cmonkey,

tcp/ip settings on the client ? i havent changed anything on the xp machine ... i just shut it down while the sparc connected ....

and as far as the router ... i couldnt find something that was out of place ...

The client. It uses DHCP right? DHCP server on these home routers seem to be flakey at best. I wouldnt ever use them. Thats why I mention that.

yeah ... your right about the flaky aspect of this linksys ....

im lookin at sutff on my client ... and everything seems just right ...
ipconfig gives me an ip with all the correct gateway and nameserver info

also, the wireless card's utility system shows a connection with signal strength and everything

its definitely connected .. all the signs point to it ... but i cant do anything with the connection

cant ping anything ... not even on the network ...

i guess i'll try a wired connection and see if that works .....

any ideas ?
