I am trying to install Solaris on a formated system. The harddrive has not partitions on it right now.
I keep getting this error message when I am trying to select the location to install the boot kernal.
Here is the error message:
Unable to mount a Solaris root file system from the device.
Error Message from mount
/pci@0.0/pci-ide@1/ide@0/ cmdk@0.0:a: can't open - NO VTOC
Any suggestion to work around this problem?
Also what kind of partition should I have in order to install Solaris?
Thanks
Pintu
