I'd like to insert a clip of an old guy complaining "oh god...another video game? when is this garbage going to die?" but such men became extinct a long time ago.
Just imagine it in your head, and it will be really funny.

ive been meaning to try this, no fast forward button...arghh, thats why most Defense games are good.. fast forward or skip works good
 
Defense Grid has DLC now if no one has tried it recently. I think I got like 3 new maps or something from the latest patch.

If I remember right they patched it about a month ago
 
I fall squarely in the "not as good as Defense Grid" camp, although I have only played the demo of SS. Still, I may pick it up if Steam has one of their super sales.

i like it more than DG. the unlockable stuff is nice and there is much more variety of towers.
captains is an interesting addition, and in SS there is real point to replaying a map unlike DG. more achievements = more unloackables.
