software to split a 1.4 GB mpeg into pieces so I can transfer?

what software is there that I can use to split an mpeg file into two pieces such that I can transfer it from one PC to another via my 1 GB JAZ drive?

Ok, I take it you just want to split the file into two then rejoin it on your other pc??? There's a lot of programs out there that can do that. If that is what you want to do hjsplit should work for you.

yep, just split for transfer purposes then rejoin on the PC it was transferred to....

hjsplit will do but WinRAR will do that and more. Plus, if the file is not compressed well (older codecs) then it can make it smaller.
