software to map audio to a remote computer

lockmac

Senior member
Hi there. I am atfter a program that lets me map audio from one computer to another. E.g. im on my laptop, and i want the sound to come out of the speakers connected to my desktop. I know you can do this with RDP but thats using a console of the other computer- i want to be using another computer but have the audio rouoted to the remote computer.

Does anybody know of software that does this?

Ive had a good look on the internet and can't seem to find anything.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks guys

Thanks for the reply. What that user on the whirlpool forum is trying to achieve is a bit different from what im trying to achieve though.

🙁

I know it's different; but it looks like if:
u could use a program like VLC to stream from a recording device and just select Stereo mix (XP) as the recording devide in the windows sound controll.
I think that would stream the audio output from your laptop; then you just play it on your desktop. Am I missing something?
