Software to make great looking slide shows on DVD

mangled

Senior member
I've tried Photoshop Elements 3, and Nero Express, but both compress photos too much when creating a photo slide show to view on DVD. I'm shooting with a Nikon D70 in RAW and then saving as a JPEG without resizing. So the photos are very high quality to begin with.

Anyone know of another solution to try?

proshow gold is good

all of them have to compress to fit to dvd resolution though....

in Nerovision express, did you try high quality under video options?

does the final show look bad on the computer? might be ok on a tv....

I used the highest quality settings on Nerovision express. I think Adobe and Nero use Mpeg-1. The photos are pristine on my computer. But when previewing the slide show and watching it on a TV, the photos look horrid. Pixelized.

i vote for proshow gold... very easy to use and intuitive if u're in a hurry. i was when i found the program.

Playing around with the trial of Proshow Gold and it's pretty good. Thanks for the recommendation, this is the kind of app I was looking for.
