i have 2 120mm panaflo fans, an 80mm for the power supply, and a 92mm for the slk-900. at first i was gonna plug them all into the sunbeam rheobus i have. but ive been thinking, what if the cpu fan fails? since i dont wanna run it at full speed because im going for a silent computer, (and it kinda buzzes a bit) is there any program for the 8rda+ that will let me reduce the fan speed voltage?

P.S after some thinking, i started wondering if i really needed to do this. the reason being that if my heatsink fan fails, the cpu wouldnt immidiately have a drastic raise in temperature, it would take about 30 seconds or so correct? and if i set a shutoff temperature of xx in my bios, wouldnt that work too?

dinde, btw, how quiet is the system you have? The slk-900 is expensive but offers very nice cooling with 92mm fans right? And 120mm fans blow a lot of air without much noise.

I have 3 panaflos (one for cpu, one psu, one case) but I only plug 2 in (case fan unplugged) because it's it bit less noise. And my northbridge fan started going bad, so that's unplugged too.

well, i dont have all the parts right now. but i sleep 7 feet awat from my computer . i tried it, ran the 92mm at around 8 - 9 volts, the 2 120's are 7 colts, and the 80mm @ full. couldnt hear a thing.

also, this is without cutting out the fan grills on the front and back (getting a dremel tomorrow). so hopefully then il lbe able to turn up t he fans a bit.
