Software to keep track of internet usage?

techs

Lifer
Does anyone have any recommendations on good, free Windows (xp and/or vista) software to keep track of bandwith usage?
I am going to put something like tomato on my router eventually, but I would like some software for now.
Ideally the software would distinguish between intranet traffic and internet traffic.
thanks

So far I have tried the Netmeter and it looks pretty good.
Gonna try the Netlimiter in a few days.

I use NetMeter and I couldn't be happier. It actively shows your current bandwidth usage and logs your daily/weekly/monthly usage stats. You can set it to alert you when you're nearing a certain limit, if you choose to do so.

I has one disadvantage - if you have more computers it will also count traffic between them - yesterday I downloaded my Steam folder from my gaming rig to my laptop and log from NetMeter shows 120GB upload for that day 🙂
