Software to control fans

I have 3 new fans which won't go on my controller because I am out of plugs, so I plugged them into my motherboard (see type below).

I tried speedfan but I cant get the speeds to change and it only picks up 3 fans one of which is 0RPM so I know it's not reading it right.

Is there a software program out there that I can use to control my fan speed through my motherboard?

The newest version of nTune will control one of the fans... but not the other 2.

Thanks!

Edit:
Also looks like I can only control 1 fan + CPU fan in BIOS... guess thats all I will be able to do. :(

Does anyone know where I can get some 3pin splitters so I can string 3 fans together to one conector? Like you can do with molex plugs.

Edit:
Something like this should work.

I get most of my fan cables and extensions from either SVC.com or jab-tech.com but IDK if they have 3-pin fan power splitters or not. Or you can get connector parts from places like action-electronics.com and roll your own. Remember, most mobo fan connectors can only deal with maybe 0.5 Amp (500 mA) total per header. Check the manual or the mobo mfr's web site. I generally use the mobo fan headers for speed monitoring and alarns and use a separate fan controller to manage fan speed.

I generally recommend using the hardware monitoring utility that is supplied by the mobo mfr as it should support all the features available on your mobo.

i installed speedfan but it seems like it's only monitoring the fans, not able to control their speeds as the RPM doesn't change..

am I doing something wrong or do I need some other software to control the speed of my fans.. I need to lower the RPM for the new case fan i bought.. it's deafening.. never again am I going to trust these 'dba' ratings they provide on the websites specs..

RS,

Fan speed control wasn't available in old mobos like the one listed in your sig - so you can monitor but not control, thus the flourishing of all types of add-on fan speed controllers/monitors. Click on the link my sig if you want to control your fans... :D

if you're talking about splitting 3 fans off a mobo fan header you should be careful. check with your mobo specs to see what each header can supply for voltage.

i prefer to have nothing but the cpu and chipset fan on the mobo and use a fan controller for the rest.

If the OP is still looking for fan splitters (nearly two monts after the OP) then nexfan.com has plain ones for 99 cents - but as was said above, be sure not to overload your mobo connectors. Plus only one fan's tach (speed sensor) lead can be connected to a mobo header at a time - only the power leads can be parallelled.
