Actually, computers do tend to be less biased, opinionated and judgemental than teachers. If the technology was well tested, I would not have a problem with a computer essay grader. I can recall many instances where I had to hold from making my thoughts heard simply because I knew that the teacher would not agree with me and hence mark me down for it. Again, the software must be well tested to have a neutral standpoint.
