Just looking for some recomendations for good programs. Just reformated and want my system to run smoothly without too much resource hogging in the background.
I've been using Norton Antivirus but I don't like that too much. I tried Avast Antivirus but the resident protection alone used 20 megs of memory!?! I'm going to try AVG but that they only have a trial version. I can find a cracked version of 6.5 but not 7, is there a big difference between the two? Any other antivirus programs out there that give good protection but don't hog resources?
I'm also searching for a ID3 tag editor.. any links?
Also, what's a good software firewall? I tried ZoneAlarm but that really pissed me off, too much crap popping up and such. I just want something that runs quietly in the background and keeps the system secure.
As well, what's the best spam killer?
I'm using Tweak XP Pro for ad and popup killing, along with that Google Toolbar. Will those do the job?
