Does thsi software really work or is it all false hopes? I just got a letter from the MPAA UNIVERSITY STUDIOS stating that I have to remove some crap or something from our network...

I need something to block them.

Here is what happened. A letter from COX and the MPAA

from what i've been reading, PEER GUARDIAN isn't effective because COX can look into your traffic and such...

And also, when you are on P2P network, such as OVERNET, when you download from a source and it happens to be somebody on the other end such as RIAA or MPAA, you can get caught.

true? aren't there any other alternatives?

Just download the anarchist's handbook.

Large-sized carbomb + van + RIAA building with hundreds or more of RIAA employees in it.

You do the math.

Why don't you just quit sharing other peoples property, then you won't have to worry about COX sending you letters.

If they claim it's about something you have shared, you own the original DVD too, and you haven't downloaded much lately, claim it's your backup copy so you can watch it anywhere. If they were downloading it from you they obviously were trying to steal your property.
