Tried loading Norton SYSTM WORKS 2001 and CD Clone and was not successful. Got this dialog box both times-Setup initialization error-setup is unable to decompress and copy all of the program files needed to proceed with the installation. Contact your software vendor(which I have)

CD Clone install was attempted from the hard drive and Norton from a CD. Plextor 12x10x32 is the CD device. Adaptec and Plextor Manger 2000 were initially installed but removed prior to install attempts of Norton and CD Clone. Anyone seen this before or have comments? Computer seems to operating alright just can't seem to load programs.
 
umm do you have any anti-virus software running in the background?

try disabling everything, but explorer and systray and see how you go. 🙂
