Software for memory usage?

Hi all

Just wondering if there is any app out there that can monitor the amount of video ram being used when an application/game is running? Sorta like Windows Resource Monitor is what I am thinking about.

I ask because it would be nice to know how much of my 512mb on my 9800GTX+ is being used in various games.

Thanks!

I think RivaTuner or ATItool can do it for certain models of video card, but I'm not 100% sure on it. Try it out anyways, I guess?

Didn't realize task manager monitors video ram usage. Good to know.

I don't think it really does monitor the RAM on the video card.....you can monitor the system memory the software the video card uses, but not the memory use on the actual card itself under task manager.

I am using CPU-Z to know all about my pc’s hardware configuration. It monitors configuration of memory, processor, motherboard etc. I think it may be useful for you.

It does for NVIDIA cards. For AMD cards it does not, but I'm not aware of any way to monitor AMD VRAM usage under Vista and greater.

I fairly sure ATI Tray Tools can do this. I've even installed it on Win 7, but I'm not sure if VRAM monitoring works. I uninstalled it pretty quick because I preferred CCC. Apparently ATI Tray Tools needs an unsigned driver to properly monitor vram. Idk, but that's what the googles tell me.
