Software for data backup on CD ?

Hi,
I do not need to do a complete system backup, like Ghost can do or others (I have one tool from Adaptec sold with the CD burner), I need an app. that might help me backing up data (I would like to save increments). I tried EZ cd and Nero, but none offers this witht facility, unless I'm mistaken : with nero, for instance, I have to erase cd data before remplacing with a newer one - which ids a pain with many folders to specify.

Any tip or idea welcome.
Cheers.

The Take Two SW can do partition BUs, as can Ghost. What exactly are you wanting to backup and not backup?

EZ CD Creator 4.0 allows for incremental back-ups. You can add data to the CD-R or RW. Just make sure you leave the CD open (but close the session) until it is full.

Just a note - I have accidently overwritten data (until I was sure of what I was doing). Make TWO back-up Cds and add data to one at a time. That way if you accidently erase something, you have a backup on the other CD.

DefRef > I don't think this is what I'm looking for : I just want to make a backup of specified folders (data and users prefs), say once a week. I thought I might use the CD-RW for this purpose, since I have already a CD backup of the original file system. I tried today DiscSafe from the CRWIN comp. Doesn't work at all. And I check Veritas backup Exec for windows 2000 : 795 $ !! That's a bit pricy for what I'm planning...
Apoppin > I have EZ CD Creator 3 - Might buy the 4 ver. if it was intersting, but I'm not sure : with the 3.05 ver. you could only drag/drop file using the UDF reader. This is not exactly what I'm looking for, since I'd like to plan a weekly backup, not erasing a CD first, nor adding data, but just replacing old one by the new one (like with a ZIP or a floppy). Do you think it is possible with Adaptec's 4.0 EZ ?

Thx to you both for your answers.
Cheers.

Well, 4.0 allows you to drag whole folders from Explorer. It's a lot better than the 3 series(5.0 will be out pretty soon) and can get it at Circuit City for $49 after rebates.

If you only have 3.0, definitely upgrade to 3.5 off the 'net. I think it's functionality is greatly improved (and if you get 4.0, upgrade to 4.03).
