So I was messing around with two of my old computers, snagged the ram out of one of them and added it to the other, along with the GPU. Everything worked fine. Then I decided to reformat the hard drive. Now when i turn on the computer and get to the desktop the color is all screwed up, almost looks like it's oil painted. I figured it was the graphics card drivers but i found a driver for them and installed them and that didn't change anything. Also it's stuck at 800x600 resolution, even if I change it. Any ideas what's up? I've never reformatted a hard drive before so i'm sure i did something wrong. But hey, it keeps it interesting...

Aight I can do that tomorrow when I hook it back up, but will that matter if all the parts worked fine with the original install of XP? It was only after I reformatted and fresh installed XP that this happened. I'm also gonna try the MOBO's website for any drivers they might have for me once i get the model tomorrow.

I think your RAM on your card is playing games with your MoBo. Have you updated your MoBo driver ?

I found the problem! I was missing the intergrated graphics drivers. Once I threw those in it's all good. Everythings working great now that I've found all the drivers off of Intel's site. I shoulda checked that first, sorry guys. But thanks!
