Software dilema

Ok my family purchased norton system works 2005 with out consulting me and now I am trying to get a refund for it but here is the problem, they will send me a refund through the e-mail but I'm suppose to agree to the terms that I will destory the product and they will have me not send it back to them. I don't know if I should just not accept the refund and sell this program on ebay or what.

Why is this a dilemma, accept refund and conditions you get your money back. Sell on ebay, get some money and the pain of shipping.

problem is the agreement says that your suppose to destory it otherwise there is a fine and normally I would just sell it on egay but the thing is 2005 requires activation which is why they can do this. I might just send it back anyways even if they don't accept packages.... LOL

What?

Agree to terms. Microwave CD. Get refund. Stop bitching.
OR
Disagree with terms, Sell for what you can get. Deal with shipping. Deal with buying who bitches when his product has already been activated.

Another thing.. why send if back when all they ask of you is that you destroy it? Do you just WANT to pay for shipping?

Yeah, this is confusing me.

What problem does OP have with destroying the cd?

he probably wants to get a refund and then sell it anyway.

He could make a business out of this. Buy software, get permission to destroy it and then sell it on eBay.

God, I wish I didn't have morals.

Problem is that they have microsoft type activation required to use it.

he just wants to know if he'll get in trouble for being an asshat and sell an item illegally when he's supposed to destroy it.

BAN!
