Here's my poor build Sol.

Pic2.jpg

For comparison purposes I ran the frost bench with the same settings as the anand review averaging around 105fps. The only difference is that I was running it at 1080.

The scaling of the 590 is either much better than current sli is capable of or the bench is fake. Unless Im missing something else?

Makes my single 580 SC look so...lonely. Needs a twin.

CitanUzuki it took me a sec as i was marvelling at the way you aligned the vid cards vertically. then i realised im still drunk - count me in as another one who thinks you got one beautiful looking PC there - everything is just so cohesive looking

That is the one of the nicest builds I have seen. Everything lines up perfectly. Looks like the engine bay out of a premium car.

You got any more pics?

This is a sick machine. I really dig the vertical orientation provided by the case.

What cpu?

It's fake. Look at the date he ran the 'benchmark'.

FAKE!!!!

Look at the date for the crysis run

I actually saw this yesterday but knew it was fake which is why i hadn't posted it here.

If the article is fake then the thread-title needs to be amended to state as much so we aren't broadcasting misinformation.

I'm in no position to discredit the claims in the OP - but is the community in agreement that this thread is based on faked benches?

What does the OP, Baasha, have to say about this development?

I think the title is misleading. Any leaked benchmarks should be prefaced with "possible" or some other word that qualifies the level of authenticity that all leaks/rumors have. "First GTX-590 Benchmarks Results" indicates to me that the results are authoritative and they are not.

There could be explanations for all the evidence that they are fake, however unlikely, but a proper level of skepticism should be indicated explicitly to avoid misleading readers.

That said, I think that beyond citing the source, such titling choices should be left to the author of the post. People should choose to be judicious on their own.

I do support letting the OP have a chance to amend it or comment themselves first, but this is clearly a faked benchmark.

From the end of the article...

"UPDATE: As our readers have pointed it out, the original source of these rumors was apprently a fake so the claims made in the article regarding the performance of the GTX 590 are unfounded.

Many thanks to those who have spotted the discrepancies and let us know about them."

That pretty much seals the deal then. Editing thread title now.

I suppose Softpedia should put a little more effort into vetting their "sources". :|

Sorry guys, I just got IdontCare's PM.

I did not check the veracity of the said benchmark and/or claims. I was looking around for info on the 590 and saw this so I jumped the gun and posted about it.

Thread title is edited appropriately by the mods.

It does look like it is indeed a FAKE benchmark.

I expect more integrity from a site with more ads than a squatter domain, a design from 1998, and three-paragraph articles and reviews.
