Softmodded 9500np

I had my 9500np softmodded to a 9800 before I reformatted, I had a friend do it for me. But when I reformatted I downloaded the latest wizard drivers and in display properties it says 9500 @ 9700. I haven't changed a thing just downloaded and installed the drivers. Did it softmod my card automatically or do I still need to? I don't know how to so could somone give me instructions on how to do it? Thanks

the 9800 softmod was really a 9700 softmod with certain optimizations on catalyst 3.6.

With catalyst 3.7 and newer, these optimizations have been incorporated in the 9700 driver. You are alright.

So did it softmod it for me automatically? When I softmodded my 9500 before it just had a Radeon 9800 listed in display settings, and now it is 9500 @ 9700. Does it mean the same thing?

Yep. In fact, you could never softmod a 9500np to a 9800 as there are physical differences. Those were some optimizations in AA/AF for it to perform better (Smoothvision 2.1). As TheMouse said it already is in newer drivers.
