Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and found a fix.
My CPU temps lately have been all over the place. Right now its reading 89f,five minutes ago it refused a post because boot protection saw it at 125f. The temps are always the same in bios as MBM5. If I reset it will jump up around 10f each reset until boot protect stops it. If I shut down then restart(10second wait)the temp is back down to 89f.

The board and ambiant temps never do this just the CPU. Ive gone with the very hi-tech touch the HS test and see if it is hot and it's never HOT just typical warm HS.

Its a DFI AK74-SC
11/29/00 Bios(newest)
Tbird 750@1030/1.75v@1.82
FOP32-1

DFI is useless sofar(never again)not responding to any questions I have ever asked. Its not really a problem since I know the temps are wrong its more of a PIA. Any guesses would be appritiated. TY

Thought I would also add... Other than the CPU temp reading and one of the three fan headers not showing rpms(I asked no responce)the board has been good. If you do consider purchasing one the bios is very sparse, limited to the most basic functions. As far as support goes I have yet to see any. With my daily surfing of DFI's site praying for a new bios. I noticed they have a few new boards comming out. From my expierience I wouldn't consider DFI if a feature filled bios and support are issues......JUST an FYI on DFI.;)

To be fair if stable and easy to setup are all you need without a lot of extras they would be a possible choice. I have heard there are computers where people just use them. They dont monkey around with the settings trying to tweak every once of power out of them. Go Figure?
