sdio now! huh, CRAPTASTIC (grumbles sadly) so does that mean it wont work on my HP1945 with SDIO cause i dont think it has (NOW!)
i really hope all the new wifi cards and gps cards dont require "NOW!" unless there is a way to run it on my fairly new hp 1940/1945

What are you smoking? It will work just fine with your 1945.

I'm almost tempted to buy this and I have no use for it😱

Anyone know if socket is good with their rebates?

cause after i bought the 1945 i read about sdio now, which seemed like it was basically a hotswappable (or something) sdio, ive never used my sdio cause there arent enough things out for it yet (cheap enough) Def looking forward to sdio GPS. or a way to use it to connect to verizon phones

Your 1945 has Bluetooth, that's what I'd use for GPS, you can find one for about $200.00 and they work really good, cuts down on the wire mess too. AFAIK, all SDIO devices are hot pluggable.

^^^ Yeah I think BT GPS is the way to go. One of the best things about it is that you can place your GPS antenna exactly where you need it for good reception and not worry about distance away from your PDA in the car. The problem is the expense, they used to be $300 not too long ago, while CF GPS was as cheap as $99.

Sorry for the dumb question....is SDIO the same as SD?

I recently purchased a IPAQ 3850 and would like to use it to browse the we around the house and downtown if this card can be used in it.

Thanks.

From what I read the Treo 600 might never work with an 802.11.b SDIO card because the bus on the treo doesn't have enough power.

WHERE did you "read" this? :disgust:
