Socket A ready motherboard help

Ok, I'm going crazy trying to build my new computer. I have the AMD Thunderbird 1GHz, and I need a Socket A ready motherboard, but I can't seem to find a good one. Will someone please recommend one to me?

its too early to tell which ones are better as there are only a few out. wait a week or two for the abit or asus boards. they probably made the best kx133 and should be among the top kt133 boards.

just did a search on pricewatch.com for kt133 and there was only one asus board. It's ETA is July 12, and it's $189 which is way overpriced!

Thanks, 0div0. One more thing. Is that board good for my needs? Which are being able to be installed in an Addtronics 7896A Full-Tower with 300W Power Supply, and being able to house 3Dcool's athlon cooler? Can it house three sticks of 128MB PC133 CAS-2 SDRAM DIMMS, along with a GeForce 2 64MB? The other thing it needs to do is not suck, so is it good for my high-end power gaming thingy? I'm retarded in the area of motherboards, any help you can give would be very helpful.

everything sounds good except the heatsink. is that made for a socket A cpu or slot A? I haven't seen any coolers made specially for socket A processors.

I don't know if it sucks or not heh theres no reviews on it. If you want to be safe wait 2 or 3 weeks until people review them and complain about any problems

The Epox ep-8KTA will be available next week. I just ordered one for a Duron system. Check Pricewatch for sites. Gigabyte & FIC also have socket A models.

The $189 price includes onboard Promise ATA100 controller with two additional IDE connectors attached to it (thus providing two high performance IDE connectors and two others for CD-ROM, Zip, etc.).

This Promise controller otherwise streets for $35-$40 and outperforms the usual built-in IDE controller even with ATA66 HDs.
