Socket A + Peltier

Hey all,

I decided to make the big step in cooling 🙂 Going from an Alpha PAL6035 + Delta fan to a Alpha PAL 6035 + Delta Fan + Peltier Kit for Socket A (from 2cooltek).

I'm not too worried - I understand everything, (take the little foam feet off, put big foam on.etc.
However, I know for a fact that attaching the peltier + coldplate + heatsink onto the socket will pose as a HUGE problem. How does anyone do this ? (I'm assuming it's the same problem for both FCPGA and Socket A.. does anyone have any pics or suggestions that I could learn from? 🙂

Thanks in advance! 🙂🙂

sorry no pictures, but you'll have to make your own clip......use a sturdy door hanger or something, just make sure its strong enough to exert ~16lbs of pressure on the cpu to get adquate heat transfer.....

I actually, had to do a little pre-flexing of the clip to stretch it out. I HIGHLY recommend that you seal the socket on the mobo, and seal the cpu in the socket, and put silicone on the stuff around the core, AND seal the peltier. See my nightmare here.
