Socket A mobo

I know this probably been asked a ton of times but please bear with me...

Theres something wrong with my mobo, and my freind thinks its done. The warranty is up, so thats out of the question, and my parents won't let me upgrade. They see a mobo as needed rather than wanted. So my question is this: What are the top 3 socket nforce 2 mobos capable of fsb/ddr 400? I will probably overclock, and i dont really need dual channel, but it would be a bonus.

Thanks for the help

I've had no problems with my AN35N Ultra, and it's fairly widely recommended as a budget board.
In addition to those listed above, consider MSI's NF2 offerings.
For a dead platform like this, though, try not to spend more than $50-60 (consider a used NF7-S v2*, perhaps).

Though you're sure to find the feature on any NF2 Ultra 400 board, remember that dual channel does nothing on Socket A unless you use the NF2 IGP chipset's integrated video.

*Do NOT confuse with the inferior NF7-S2.

I say the opposite. The Shuttle AN35N is a great motherboard, whereas my Gigabyte GA7VAX died recently...

A7N8X is sweet too.

.. for features and light/moderated overclocking....go with the ASUS A78NX-DLX based boards...

..for overclocking and light/moderate features.. go with the ABIT

.. Nforce2 implies dual channel support...

.. if you need to reuse your old memory.. then do your homework.. The ASUS is picky about which sticks/brands you use.....particularly if you plan to overclock

I had 5 Shuttles die on me in a week, then got my Gigabyte and it has been running 24/7 for 7 months.

I'm looking to unload my NF7-S 2.0.

See the link in my sig. I highly recommend this board and the AN35N Ultra from Shuttle. The Shuttle was one of the most reliable boards I ever owned. I had 2, had problems with one, but these things happen with all boards, I don't necessarily believe it to be a board issue.
