Socket A Bridge mod

Last night I spent an hour and closed the L5 bridges. I used pencil and was successful, but I went to sleep and to school and when I came back, I watched CrystalCPUID go from XP-M back to Sempron. I was wondering what I should use that is permenant but not that hard to apply to keep the multi unlocked?

Pencil only worked reliably on thunderbird Athlons. On AthlonXPs you need to use conductive paint. Also, if that is a newer socket A chip, it will be super locked and you can't override the default multi by bridge modding.

Where could I get conductive paint? would I have to order it online or would any retail chains have it. Also I am sure that it unlocks as I did it but only with pencil and as you indicated, it wasn't reliable and no longer works.

You can get it at auto parts store in the form of a "Rear Window Defroster" repair kit.

Hopefully I will be able to find this a wally world tonight.

You might want to try the jumper wire in the socket trick.
Much safer and easier, plus works 100%, and is just as easy to undo.

I tried this originally and was unsuccessful. in the thread you linked to it says mobile only and I have a sempron 2500+. I figured I might as well paint 2 bridges instead of 1 and a wire.
Hopefully I can find something soon. I had it at 2.2 within 5 min just on multi and the temps were fairly good too.
