Socket A board - is it worth it to buy a DDR compatable board?

It seems that most of the threads addressing the Socket A DDR boards involve problems or trade-offs. The anandtech reviews even put the asus kt133a board almost as fast performance-wise as the DDR/ALi chipset. Why[or even SHOULD] I buy a DDR board?

Because some boards out there such as the ASUS A7M266 have been proven to perform much better with DDR than most other DDR boards which arn't much improvement from the KT7 and other boards that use regular PC133 SDRAM. If you want to go DDR, make sure you go with a board that will take advantage of the DDR's capabilities! otherwise you might as well just go for a board with SDRAM. I'd definitely go DDR!

Well if you buy a DDR board now then you are set off for the next 2 versions of Athlon series that use DDR more effectively than Thunderbird does. Instead of buying a PC133 board now and then upgrade later, why don't you just buy a DDR board?

Well, then again why not wait untill there are some better DDR boards? You have to update your system every year anyway with the pase things are going nowdays.
