Socket 940 vs. Socket 939

Don't listen to this guy. The CPU will NOT work in a 939 mobo, if it's 940. The pins are in a completely different configuration. It just won't work. And even IF it was possible to remove the pin and make it FIT, it wouldn't WORK.
 
The only one I can think of that does that is a Pentium M to 478. I believe it can be done with an adapter. I may be wrong.
